Thorsten Sudler-Mainz

1963: Thorsten Sudler-Mainz is born on April 5th in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.

1969: First musical improvisations on a Pilips Philicorda home-organ.

1976: Founding his first band, discovering the drums and the guitar.

1981: Playing in several bands as a drummer, guitar player and singer, first live concerts. Using a keyboard and a drum computer for the first time.

1986: First studio recordings in the studio of Thorsten Rentsch in Frankfurt am Main. Founding his first  solo project and home studio.

1991: Playing drums in one band with Thorsten Rentsch. First official Single Release, performing live at the legendary club Batschkapp in Frankfurt am Main.

1996: Founding ART OF INFINITY together with Thorsten Rentsch in the Netherlands.

2000: Release of the first ART OF INFINITY album New Horizon.

2002: Composing music for documentary films in german television.

2004: Signing a record deal with BSC Music, release of the second album Dimension Universe, attracting worldwide attention with ART OF INFINITY.

2005: Founding the side project Deep Imagination, performing live at Satzvey Castle/Germany. Release of the Deep Imagination debut album Scapes. Writing a new song with Alquimia for the next ART OF INFINITY album Endless Future.

2007: Producing the concert film Live at Satzvey Castle 2005. Finishing the work on the album Gemstones (CD/DVD) of  Deep Imagination.

2008: Worldwide digital release on iTunes of the Deep Imagination albums Gemstones and Scapes by BSC Music/Prudence. Release of ART OF INFINITY’s Endless Future.

Thorsten Rentsch

1966: Thorsten Rentsch is born on June 16th in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.

1974: First guitar lessons by his brother.

1980: Founding his first band, discovering the bass guitar.

1982: First band recordings as a sound engineer on his 4-track tape machine.

1984: First own recording studio in Frankfurt/Main, becoming the top engineer and producer of the local scene.

1990: Returning to make music by himself, playing bass guitar, finding Thorsten Sudler-Mainz as his musical friend.

1992: Went to cologne and worked in one of the biggest european recording studios as a sound engineer, amongst many others he worked with international acts like Eric Wolfsson (Alan Parsons Project), Yossou n’ Dour and Jalal Nuridin (Last Poets).

1995: Started composing songs.

1996: Founding ART OF INFINITY and started producing the album New Horizon, involving guest like Eva Wolf, Matthias Krauss and Alex Gunia.

2001: Founding a recording studio together with guitar player and producer Klaus ‘Major’ Heuser in Cologne. Mixing the second ART OF INFINITY album Dimension Universe.

2004: Started to work on the third ART OF INFINITY album Endless Future, involving the drummer Wolf Simon. Perfoming live with Deep Imagination.

2006: Founding the Renaissance Studio Cologne, continues the work on ART OF INFINITY’s next album.

2008: Live performance with Deep Imagination at Planetarium Bochum. Finished the mix of Endless Future, which was released on September 19th 2008 by Prudence/Rough Trade.
